Assets worth Rs 600 crore, Rs 734 crore income in last five years; Vijay's election affidavit details out

CHENNAI: Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam president and actor Vijay's election affidavit details are out. The affidavit states that Vijay's total assets are around Rs 603.20 crore. This includes movable assets worth Rs 404.58 crore and immovable assets worth Rs 198.62 crore. These include agricultural land in Kodaikanal and properties in Chennai. The affidavit also states that his wife Sangeetha, has assets worth Rs 18 crore. The affidavit states that his income for the last five years is Rs 734.4 crore. There are no liabilities.

Vijay is contesting from Perambur and Trichy East in the elections. Meanwhile, Vijay's campaign meeting in Chennai today was cancelled following the fear of a stampede due to large participation from crowds. TVK, meanwhile, alleged that the police are withdrawing from the party’s venues. TVK has filed a complaint with the Election Commission regarding this.
