UDF candidate Sandeep Varier attacked during campaign at Nehru College

KASARAGOD: An attempt was made to attack Sandeep Varier, the UDF candidate for the Thrikaripur constituency, while he was campaigning at Nehru College in Padannakkad, Kasaragod. The incident took place during a College Day event where the candidate and his supporters had gathered to seek votes. Two UDF workers were injured in the resulting clash and were immediately admitted to a nearby hospital for treatment.

The UDF leadership has alleged that SFI workers were responsible for the attack, claiming such actions obstruct the democratic right to campaign. Following the incident, police have registered a case and initiated an investigation. A police team is currently stationed at the college to maintain order as tension continues to prevail on the premises.
