MUMBAI: New details emerged in the forced conversion and sexual harassment scandal at Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) in Nashik. It is reported that the company suspended HR Assistant General Manager Nida Khan last week. Nida is now absconding in the case. The reason for Nida’s suspension is stated as a 'serious matter'.

Nida was suspended on April 9. The letter states that Nida, who joined Tata Consultancy Services in December 2021, was working as a 'Process Associate'.

From the letter:

“This is to inform you that a serious matter reported against you has been brought to the notice of the company. In view of the seriousness of the matter reported and the fact that you are currently unable to perform your official duties, the Company has decided to suspend you with immediate effect until further communication and decision is taken by the Management in this regard. Accordingly, your access to the TCS network is hereby temporarily suspended.

You are hereby advised to make arrangements to surrender any Company assets in your possession. You are also advised not to report to any Company office and not to work from any other place/home until further communication from the Company's designated HR Officer.

Furthermore, the matter should not be discussed with other employees in any way. Strict confidentiality should be maintained. Failure to comply with the above will result in disciplinary action."
