KOZHIKODE: BJP leader Sobha Surendran criticized the film stars for being silent even after the Justice K Hema Commission, which was assigned to find the problems in the film industry, submitted their report to the chief minister. She said that the real reason for their silence will come out once the full report goes public.

In a post on Facebook, the BJP leader said that film personalities like Prithviraj, Kamal and Parvathy who responded against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) are not showing the same responsibility for protecting the self-esteem of their colleagues. She said that they would have ended the silence if their social commitment was genuine.
