THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Food packets supplied to migrant labourers were found unused and abandoned. The migrant labourers threw away the food packets supplied to them by the Community Kitchen in Chalai. When asked they said they threw away the packets as it did not have any non-veg.

The packets were found thrown at a time when the government and NGOs are taking pains to supply food as they don’t want anyone to starve in the name of the lockdown. These labourers want food but only with a non-veg. Earlier they used to have chappathi with potato curry.
