Athira bids good-bye to Nithin, came in wheelchair following COVID protocol

KOZHIKODE: The body of Nithin Chandran, who died in Dubai, was brought to the private hospital in Kozhikode where his wife is admitted for delivery. She was brought in a wheelchair to see the body following COVID protocol. The doctors accompanied Athira and the body was shown to her only for two minutes.


She burst into tears seeing the body of her beloved. After showing the body to her, it was later taken to his native place Perambra in Kozhikode. He died in Dubai following a heart attack on Monday.

The death of Nithin was informed to Athira who is in the ICU of a private hospital in Kozhikode following delivery, by the doctors’ team. She requested to see the body of her husband a last time. Her relatives and hospital authorities made arrangements for her to see the body and brought her in the wheelchair near the mortuary.
