KOCHI: Kerala Film Chamber has made it clear that cinema theatres in the state won't be reopened. This decision was taken as the film chamber's demands to allow relaxation in GST and removal of entertainment tax on tickets were not met.
In the Unlock 5 guidelines released by the union government the permission to open theatres with conditions were given. The government sources said the theatres would be allowed 50 percent audience inside the halls. Kerala Film Chamber's decision to not open the theatres came soon after.
