BENGALURU: The Narcotics Control Bureau has said that the present situation doesn't call for Bineesh Kodiyeri to be arraigned in the Bengaluru drug case. The NCB told the court that Bineesh had links with Anoop Mohammad, the accused in the drug case, and also according to an ED report Bineesh had used drugs, and therefore they had to question him.

The NCB further informed the court that the four-day interrogation was over and that Bineesh is no longer needed in custody.

Earlier, the Enforcement Directorate had found that Bineesh had links with Anoop Mohammad and Rijesh Raveendran, the accused in the drug trafficking case. The ED assumed that Bineesh had financial dealings with Anoop and that these transactions were linked to the drug case. Bineesh was remanded in judicial custody for 14 days in connection with the ED case.
