KOCHI: The CPM report has mentioned that Kalamassery former area secretary Zakir Hussain has amassed wealth through improper means in ten years. This has been mentioned in the report prepared by the party on the disciplinary action against him. The report has nine main findings against him.

Zakir, who lived in a house of two cents bought four houses in ten years. He last bought a house for 76 lakh. He took a loan of 65 lakh for it. Zakir and his wife's income are not enough to repay the loan taken for the new house and the houses bought earlier.

He hid his foreign trip in 2016. When the party asked about it, he misled them saying that he had gone to Dubai. The party in a probe conducted found that he had gone to Bangkok. He did not get the consent of the party to go abroad.

The Kalamassery Auto Society of which Zakir was president owes 1.5 crore to the district bank. He was not honest to the party and amassed wealth through improper means. He stained the image of the party through this, the report said.

The report has also stated that the Kalamassery area committee did not investigate the allegations levelled against Zakir.

Girish Babu lodged a complaint to the ED seeking a probe against him.
