THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Rajya Sabha member John Brittas said that giving official status to Parivar organizations in government matters cannot be justified in any way. He wrote a letter to the Prime Minister pointing this out. Brittas came out against the move by the Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Science (CCRAS) under the Ministry of AYUSH to hand over the responsibility of distributing the drug AYUSH-64 to Seva Bharati.

'Seva Bharati is a non-profit organization formed by Balasaheb Deoras, the third Sarsanghachalak of the RSS. It aims to expand the activities of the RSS in the field of education and health. Giving this organization an official status cannot be justified in any way. Unity is the key to tackling the Covid crisis faced by the country. The central government, which made a serious lapse in the fight against Covid, is now creating sectarianism in its approach as well,' Brittas wrote on his Facebook page.
