NEW DELHI: A plea has been filed in the Supreme Court seeking a judicial inquiry into the Pegasus phone snooping allegations. The plea was filed by senior journalists N Ram and Sashi Kumar.
Journalists demanded that a sitting judge or a retired judge oversee the investigation on the allegations. There were reports that the phones of journalists including N Ram and Gopikrishnan were leaked.
The allegation is that Israeli made spy software Pegasus is being used to snoop on the phones of union ministers, Supreme Court judges, RSS leaders and journalists.
