One killed as wild elephant goes on rampage in Pathanamthitta

PATHANAMTHITTA: A wild elephant went on a rampage at Thulappally leaving one dead. The dead is Biju (52) of Vattappara Puliyankunnu Malayil Kudilil. The incident happened Monday early morning at 2 am. The elephant attacked him when he came out of the house hearing a noise.

Biju was found lying dead 50 meters away from the house. The locals did not allow to move the body from the place. The locals said that they will not allow to move the body unless the collector arrives.

The police and forest department officials have reached the spot. Biju was an auto driver. He leaves behind his wife Daisy and children Jinson and Bijo.

The locals have earlier raised complaints about wildlife attack in the area.
