THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Schools in the state are likely to open soon. Education Minister V Sivankutty said that an expert committee would be appointed to examine the practicability in connection with the opening of schools.
The minister said after getting the opinion of the expert panel, a decision would be taken in opening schools after holding discussions with Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. He added that experts had opined that schools can be opened.
The minister said there are some who criticize the education department for whatever you do and that criticisms are showered through social media. The first demand was to have a break in between plus one exam and when it was given, it is now said to be written together. The situation is that criticisms are showered for everything.
At a meeting convened by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, international experts said there was no need to worry about the spread of Covid in the state. The minister said lockdown and night curfew would be lifted and normal life would be brought back to normalcy.
