Religious harmony and unity shouldn't be compromised, end narcotic jihad row: Alencherry

alencherry-

KOCHI: Cardinal Mar George Alencherry requested to end the controversy following the narcotic jihad remark. Misinterpretation of statements made by those in positions of responsibility can lead to misunderstandings. He also requested that religious harmony and unity not be compromised. Alencherry also demanded cooperation in efforts by political, community and religious leaders to end the controversy.

Matters that hurt religious feelings should be resolved through discussion and mutual respect. The Church puts forward that all religions should be respected and co-operated with. Christian churches and church ministers do not want to cause conflict in the community. Alencherry also suggested that the church members should be careful not to deviate from this position
