Police receive threat message that bomb has been planted to destroy Mullaperiyar dam, number identified

IDUKKI: A threatening message was sent to the Kerala police headquarters that a bomb had been planted at the Mullaperiyar dam. The message was received at around 3.15 pm that the bomb had been planted with the intention of destroying the dam. The call came from a mobile number from Thrissur. Police found the owner of the number.

The police concluded that he was the one who called. Thrissur police have been directed to take him into custody. Inspections are also being carried out in Mullaperiyar.
