KOCHI: One more fraud case has been registered against antique fraudster Monson Mavunkal. Police have registered the case on the complaint of Alappuzha Thuravoor native Biju Kottappally who alleged that Monson swindled Rs 1.5 lakh from him.

According to Biju, Monson had demanded Rs 1.5 lakh in 2017 saying that he had no money. He contacted him through his brother. Monson promised to return the money within 20 days. Following this, Biju pledged his wife's gold and gave the money to Monson in January 2018. As per the complaint, Monson did not return the money even after a year.
