ALAKKODE: A Malayalee girl writes English most beautifully in the world. Ann Mariya Biju from Kudiyanmala has won first prize in the World Handwriting Competition.
16-year-old Ann Mariya Biju is the second of three children of Kudiyanmala native Chandrankunnel Biju Jose, a TV mechanic, and Swapna, a housewife. She loved alphabets and words from a very young age. She was a regular star of the handwritten magazines in her school. It was Ann Mariya's relative who realised this talent and told her about the world handwriting competition.
Ann Mariya thus participated online in the Artistic category at the world handwriting competition held in New York in June. Officials informed her that they would send three expensive pens and a certificate.
People from various corners are showering praises on this Plus One student of the Chemperi Nirmala Higher Secondary School.
