THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The crime branch has taken Krishnakumar, the third accused (39) arrested in the arson case at Sandeepananda Giri's ashram, into custody and completed the procedures for handwriting analysis.
Krishnakumar, who was released from Thiruvananthapuram Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate's Court on one day's custody, was produced in the court yesterday after completing evidence collection and questioning. He was remanded by the court and jailed at Neyyatinkara Sub Jail. Krishnakumar's handwriting was collected to match with the handwriting on the note found in the wreath at the Ashram by Crime Branch. The crime branch revealed that it has been sent for examination by the court. Krishnakumar was the one who made the wreath with the inscription 'Shibuvin Adaranjalikal' for Prakash, the first accused in the case. The crime branch has intensified its investigation for Sabari, a resident of Iripod, who is the second accused in the case and involved in many crimes in the capital.
