Youth held for trying to attack bank employee with blade

KOTTAYAM: There was an attempt to attack a bank employee demanding money. A youth who reached the bank tried to attack the employee of SBI of Kottayam medical college branch, with a blade. Jacob (39) of Mooledam created an atmosphere of terror in the bank.

Jacob reached the bank in the name of starting an account. He asked the employee identified as Ardra, who was in the counter, to give Rs 3000. But, there was only Rs 90 in his account. When she told him that so much money is not in his account, he took a blade from his pocket and attacked her. As one Jayson stopped him from the act, she escaped without sustaining any injuries. Security employee Gopi with the help of others, handed him over to the police.

For half an hour, he created an atmosphere of terror in the bank. Jayson and Gopi who sustained injuries have been admitted at the Kottayam Medical College Hospital. Jacob too sustained injuries.
