railways-

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Railways has announced that the prices of platform tickets will be slashed back to pre-pandemic rates. In the Thiruvananthapuram division, the old rate of Rs.10 came into effect. The new rates will come into effect from today, officials said.

Earlier, the platform ticket price was increased to Rs 50. The platform ticket prices were raised last October as part of a drive to ease congestion at railway stations. At the same time, railway officials said that passengers should strictly follow the Covid protocols even when concessions are announced. Passengers are also advised to wear masks and maintain social distancing.
