THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Kerala High Court rejected a report of the government in the case in which a pink police officer humiliated a small child in front of the public in Attingal. The court expressed dissatisfaction in the report and asked the government to take the responsibility for the incident. The court asked the government whether such an incident had not taken place and asked them to clarify why the child cried then. The court criticised the government for not producing the video along with government’s reply and directed to produce the footages day after tomorrow.

The court observed that the statement of the witnesses clearly stated that the child cried. The court asked the government why such a report was handed over to them. The government need to take the responsibility for the issue, the court said.

The government in their report to the court said that they cannot compensate the child. The government replied in writing to the high court. The government replied that there was no violation of the fundamental rights of the child in this case and that a case had been registered against the accused police officer. The government has taken legal action against the police officer for her offence. The government also submitted four witness statements to the court. All the statements prove that the police officer has not misbehaved with the girl.
