KOCHI: UDF candidate Shafi Parambil is all set to move the Kerala High Court to stop bogus voting in Vadakara constituency. He alleged that there is a possibility of widespread bogus voting in the constituency. He said the CPM workers had exercised the votes of those in abroad and people who have died in previous years.

"Videography is required at all booths in Vadakara for the smooth casting of votes. Most of the officers in charge of the booth and the police officers are CPM supporters. Voters should be able to reach the booths without fear. Central forces should be deployed as part of providing security at all booths in the wake of the Panoor blast,' said Shafi.

Meantime, the UDF activists of Attingal constituency have approached the high court alleging double votes in the published voters list. UDF candidate Adoor Prakash has alleged that 1,61237 of the total 13,93,134 voters in the constituency have double votes. The UDF has also produced a copy of the voters list in the court. Adoor Prakash also responded that he had filed a complaint with the election commission and said that no action was taken due to the negligence of the officials.
