Miscreants fracture bakery owner’s hand for no cream in bun; beat 95-year-old for drinking cold tea

KOTTAYAM: Youths fractured the hand of a bakery owner for less cream in the bun served. Five including an old man was beaten. The youths beat the 95-year-old man for drinking the cold tea served.

The incident happened the other day near Vaikkom Taluk Hospital at 5 pm. The youths demanded cream bun and when served it, a verbal dispute broke out for less cream in the bun. When the fight intensified, the youths thrashed the bakery owner. In the melee, his wife and children were also beaten.

The locals rushed the injured to the hospital. The police have registered a case against six people, natives of Kottayam Maravan Thuruthu. A search has been intensified for the accused.
