THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: In a post on his Facebook page, CPI (M) MLA M. Swaraj supposed that in wars and election, rightness won’t always win. “Hitler and Mussolini have won in elections. But history defeated them in the end. Truth and right will always win in the end. Communists won’t fold their flags and hide in their houses for a defeat in one election. We’ll come back stronger”, Swaraj said.

Facebook post:

In wars and election, rightness won’t always win…

In Howard Fast’s ‘Spartacus’, before his execution, David, who is a slave, asks Spartacus, “Spartacus, we were right, still, why did we fail?”

This question that’s wet with tears and blood of those who have to see defeat when right should win has reverberated throughout history.

The right has faced defeat several times in battlefield and elections.

But we still stand with what’s right because we are determined to see rightness winning…

Because we know truths that are crucified on Friday will resurrect on Sunday…

After his death, Spartacus became victorious. In the end, truth should prevail.

Hitler and Mussolini have won in elections. But history defeated them in the end.

Communists won’t fold their flags and hide in their houses for defeat in one election. We’ll come back stronger.

Just like a victory, defeats are an experience that gives energy.

Mistakes will be rectified.

Will work more fiercely for the people, for this land. We’ll go forward and win.Sure.
