THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A day after stepping down as minister following the controversy over his anti-constitutional remarks, Saji Cherian is off to the state assembly in a car with an MLA board. “I am not sad about losing the ministerial berth and is strong”, Cherian told the media.

Meantime, the Thiruvalla Judicial Court had directed to file a case against Saji Cherian on the complaint of insulting the Constitution, last day. The case investigation will be led by Thiruvalla DySP T Rajappan Ravuther. With this, the opposition has intensified protests. According to the opposition’s demand, Saji Cherian should step down as MLA too. However, the CPM is of the position that there is no need to resign from the post.
