Monkeypox: Second patient in state recovers, will be discharged on Saturday

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Minister Veena George has announced that a person who was treated at Kannur Medical College Hospital after being diagnosed with monkeypox has recovered. All his samples were negative. The recovered patient was the second monkeypox case in the country. The minister said in a press release that the patient is mentally and physically healthy.

The young man who came from UAE on July 13 was admitted to Kannur Medical College Hospital on July 16 with symptoms. None of the family members in the primary contact list have shown any symptoms. The minister said that he will be discharged on Saturday.
