Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar resigns, betrayal says BJP

PATNA: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has resigned. He submitted the resignation letter to Governor Phagu Chauhan. Nitish Kumar responded that he decided to leave the NDA with the consent of all the MPs and MLAs of the JDU. RJD, Congress and Left parties have announced their support to Kumar who have left the NDA alliance.

Nitish Kumar reached the Raj Bhavan at 4 pm and submitted his resignation letter to the Governor. He was accompanied by opposition leader Tejaswi Yadav. The new government is expected to come to power in the next 48 hours. Kumar will be the Chief Minister. Tejaswi Yadav may get the post of Deputy Chief Minister. Left parties with 16 MLAs are also part of the alliance. Ministers will be decided by Nitish Kumar and Speaker will be selected by Tejaswi Yadav.
