CHENNAI: India's B team comprising Malayali player Nihal Sarin won bronze in the open category in the 44th Chess Olympiad held at Mahabalipuram. India's A team in the women's category also won a bronze medal. Malayali grandmaster Nihal Sarin and Tamil Nadu player D Gukesh won gold in the board prize. Nihal won the gold on board two. He clinched the gold without losing a single match. Gukesh won gold on board one. Uzbekistan won gold in the open category and Ukraine in the women's category.
