‘Kurup’, directed by Srinath Rajendran, starring Dulquer Salmaan, had received excellent response among viewers. The crime thriller movie revolves around the life of wanted criminal Sukumara Kurup, who falsified his own death to claim insurance money.
Apart from Malayalam, the film was also released in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Hindi. The movie comprised of a stellar cast, including Sobhita, Indrajith, Tovino, Sunny Wayne, Shine Tom Chacko, Vijayaraghavan and Surabhi among others.
‘Kurup’ is the biggest investment film of Dulquer's career. It was shot in a budget of Rs 35 crores. The film is produced by Wayfarer Films and M Star Entertainments. The screenplay and dialogues are by Sayooj Nair and K S Aravind, story by Jitin K Jose and cinematography by Nimish Ravi.
Now, Dulquer has released the total collection of the movie. The film has grossed over Rs 112 crores at the box office. The actor also announced that Wayfarer Films and M Star Entertainments has signed a deal with Zee Company for the satellite rights of ‘Kurup’ in four languages namely Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada.
