In April, David Zaslav became the CEO of Warner Bros. Discovery. Since then he has been promising to cut down $3 billion from the company. There are fears that this trimming might destroy the Cartoon Network.
Last day, reports came in about a merger between Warner Bros Animation and Cartoon Network Studio. Following it 82 employees of Warner Bros TV Group’s scripted, unscripted, animation division were laid off. It was after this report that the fake news that Cartoon Network will be shut down began spreading.
