Sudhakaran's mind is with BJP, Cong leaders not joining party as there are no offers here: K Surendran

KOCHI: BJP state president K Surendran on Tuesday reacted to the RSS-Nehru remark made by KPCC president K Sudhakaran. K Surendran responded that Sudhakaran's mind is with the BJP and there are many like-minded people in the Congress.

"Congress has no other option. People are abandoning them. Other leaders also share K Sudhakaran's opinion. I'm not inviting the KPCC president to BJP. But they are insecure. Congress leaders are not coming to BJP because there is nothing to offer here. The situation would have been different if we could have offered posts", K Surendran said.

K Surendran also reacted against the Muslim League which objected to Sudhakaran's statement. "Why is the League commenting on the internal affairs of the Congress? Is it the League that decides the affairs of the Congress?", he asked. K Surendran accused IUML of trying to go to the LDF after blaming Sudhakaran.

Muslim League state general secretary in-charge PMA Salam had said that the RSS-Nehru statement made by KPCC president K Sudhakaran was against the history of Congress. PMA Salam also stated that the IUML does not take such statements from the Congress lightly. MK Muneer, a member of the Muslim League High Power Committee, also said that the front expressed its dissatisfaction with the statement made by Sudhakaran. The Congress High Command also expressed its dissatisfaction with Sudhakaran's statement. It is estimated that the statement will be used as a weapon by opponents.

K Sudhakaran's statement was that Nehru was ready to compromise with communal fascism by making RSS leader Shyamaprasad Mukherjee a minister. Sudhakaran's new remark comes after his controversial statement that he tried to protect a 'shakha' of RSS.
