THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Cabinet meeting has decided to recommend to the Governor to convene the 7th session of the 15th Kerala Assembly from December 5. The decision was taken at a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Wednesday. The aim of the government is to introduce a bill in the House to remove the governor from the universities.
Other decisions
To fix issues with long-term contracts
It has been decided that the defect in the implementation of long-term contracts for subordinate service employees of Travancore Titanium Products Limited should be rectified.
Permission to purchase vehicles
The purchase of four new Innova Crysta cars for the official use of High Court Judges was allowed, subject to conditions.
Appointment
The post of Financial Adviser to the Vice-Chairperson in the State Planning Board will be created on a co-terminus basis. MT Sindhu, joint director in the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways in the central government, will be appointed on deputation for a period of three years.
Amendment
The amendment in the name and qualification of the post of Speech Therapist will also be applicable to the post of Speech Therapist created in Nilambur Buds School for the Hearing Impaired.
Pay revision
The order issued by partially amending the order issued granting seventh pay revision to the employees of Thiruvananthapuram Regional Cancer Center was validated.
Academic Non-Academic employees of Malabar Cancer Center will be allowed 7th pay revision subject to conditions.
Service period extended
The service of temporary employees appointed for expeditious disposal of applications for conversion under the Kerala Conservation of Paddy and Wetland Act will be extended. On completion of 179 days, it will be extended for 179 another days with a break of one day.
