Kannur VC should be fired and a case should be filed, High Court verdict is one against 'employment guarantee scheme' for CPM comrades: K Sudhakaran

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: KPCC President K Sudhakaran MP has welcomed the High Court verdict cancelling the appointment of Priya Varghese as Associate Professor at Kannur University. K Sudhakaran said that the High Court's verdict related to Priya Varghese's appointment case is a heavy blow to the illegal interventions of the CPM which subverted the UGC norms in university appointments.

"When the governor reacted against the appointment process of Priya, the Chief Minister and the CPM criticised him and announced public support for backdoor appointments. LDF and CPM are now trying to remove the Governor from the post of Chancellor through ordinances and bills in order to give government jobs to the relatives of communist leaders through backdoor appointments. The appointment of Priya Varghese is an example of the LDF government's employment policy. The court action which cancelled the appointment of KTU and Kufos VCs also exposed the government's political interference," Sudhakaran said.
