Sexually assaulted 12-year-old girl, court sentences life imprisonment and Rs 5 lakh fine to accused

KOZHIKODE: The court has sentenced life imprisonment and Rs 5 lakh fine to accused who sexually assaulted 12-year-old girl. Bijesh (40), a native of Adivaram Nooramthodu, was convicted by the Koyilandy Fast Track Special Court. The incident occurred on 2020.

The girl revealed about the sexual assault to her mother’s friend. Following this, a complaint has been filed to Atholi police. Advocate P Jithin appeared for prosecution.
