NEW DELHI: NDTV founders Prannoy Roy and his wife Radhika Roy have resigned as directors of promoter group vehicle RRPR Holding Pvt Ltd. The company informed that this will be effective from November 29. NDTV's promoter RRPR Holding holds 29.18 per cent stake in the company. Prannoy Roy and his wife have 32.26 percent stake in NDTV.
Sudeep Bhattacharya, Sanjay Pugalia and Senthil Zinnia Chengalvarayan have taken over as directors on the board of RRPR Holding Pvt soon after the resignation of Prannoy Roy and his wife.
Gautam Adani's Adani Group had recently owned NDTV. Vishwapradhan Commercial Pvt Ltd (VCPL), a subsidiary of AMG Media Networks Ltd (AMNL), a subsidiary of Adani Enterprises Ltd (AEL), had acquired 99.5 per cent stake in RRPR Holding Pvt Ltd in last August. Adani Group later, acquired 26 percent stake in NDTV. With this, Adani Group's stake in NDTV changed to 55.18 percent and owned the rights of NDTV. Reports hint that after the Adani Group acquired NDTV, the stake value in the company increased.
