AHMEDABAD: Voting for the second phase of the Gujarat assembly elections has begun. Voting is held in 93 constituencies in fourteen districts. More than 2.5 crore voters will cast their votes. Prime Minister Narendra Modi casts his vote in Ahmedabad’s Ranip. Home Minister Amit Shah will also cast his vote.

833 candidates including Chief Minister Bhupandra Patel, Patidar leader Hardik Patel and Congress leader Jignesh Mevani are seeking the mandate.
There are 182 seats in the Gujarat Legislative Assembly. The first phase of voting was held on December 1. 63 percent voters reached the polling booth in the first phase. Votes will be counted on December 8.
