THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: BJP has decided to intensify the strike over the letter row in Thiruvananthapuram Municipal Corporation. The decision was taken in protest against the arrest of councilors who were fasting in the council hall. BJP district president VV Rajesh said that they will proceed with legal action against DR Anil's anti-women remarks.
Following the protest in the council meeting held yesterday, the police arrested the BJP councilors who were fasting in the municipal council hall at night. When the BJP said that they cannot arrest at night, the party activists were forcibly arrested. The arrested councilors were released after the BJP protested. Alleging that the arrest is part of a planned move by the CPM, the BJP has announced that it will intensify strike from tomorrow. At the same time, it has also been decided to proceed legally against DR Anil's anti-women remarks.
