Sharon murder case: Charge sheet filed on 85th day after Greeshma was arrested

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The police have filed the charge sheet in the Parassala Sharon murder case. DySP Rasith in charge of district crime branch filed the charge sheet at the Neyyattinkara sessions court.

The investigating officials finding is that Greeshma, the key accused in the murder case, in order to avoid her lover Sharon, mixed pesticides in the kashayam (ayurvedic medicine). The charge sheet mentioned that her mother Sindhu and uncle Nirmal Kumaran Nair destroyed evidence. They are the second and third accused in the case.

The charge sheet has been filed on the 85th day after Greeshma was arrested. The charge sheet was filed in the Neyyattinkara court following high court order that the trial in the Sharon case can be conducted in Kerala itself.

Greeshma invited him to her house in Ramavarmanchira near the Kerala-Tamil Nadu border and gave him the poisoned concoction on October 14 in 2022. He died on November 25 while undergoing treatment. Initially, the Parassala police came to the conclusion that Sharon's death was normal. Greeshma confessed to the crime during interrogation by a special team following the complaint lodged by his family.
