Avanthika secures gifted bicycle from Education Minister Sivankutty with double locks

KOCHI: V Avanthika, determined to prevent any further thefts of her bicycle gifted by Education Minister V. Sivankutty, has taken extensive measures to secure it with double locks.

After her old bicycle was stolen, Minister Sivankutty presented Avanthika with a new bicycle on June 2. However, the new bicycle was also stolen the very next morning on May 21. Fortunately, the thief was caught and the bicycle was recovered the following day.

To prevent further thefts, Avanthika has equipped the front wheels with a double cycle lock. Additionally, a steel chain is attached to the handle and secured to the handrail post of the stairs. She ensures that the bicycle is locked before entering her rental house after rides.

Avanthika, a Plus One Science student at Ernakulam Govt. Girls Higher Secondary School, has been busy with her studies and entrance training, which started on Sunday. She travels to school by bus and uses her bicycle to attend tuition classes in Vennala.
