Indian expat Vidhi Gurnani wins Rs 8 crore in Dubai duty free draw, another gets BMW bike

DUBAI: An Indian expat woman and an Emirati national became the winners in the Dubai Duty Free Millennium draw. The two became millionaires in the draw held at the Dubai International Airport on Wednesday. India's Vidhi Gurnani won a prize of Rs 8 crore. Vidhi bought ticket number 4760 of Millennium Millionaire Series 468 while traveling from Dubai to Mumbai. Vidhi is the 233rd Indian woman to win $1 million since the Millennium Millionaire draw was launched in 1999.


47-year-old Saeed Muhammad Yousaf, who is based in Dubai, is a multimillionaire Emirati citizen. He acquired the ticket on Wednesday, July 17, en route to Casablanca, Morocco. Yusuf said that he is thankful to Dubai Duty Free for giving him such a happy news. Yusuf is the 15th Emirati national to win the Millennium Millionaire promotion.


Magesh Prabhakaran, a 48-year-old Indian national based in Dubai, won a BMW S1000R (Bluestone Metallic) motorbike on ticket number 0872 of Finest Surprise Series 589 purchased online on July 6. Prabhakaran, who works as a senior technician at DP World, has lived in the UAE for 18 years. Prabhakaran said, “I am very happy with this win and thank Dubai Duty Free.
