DHAKA: A person was killed after a Bangladesh Air Force training aircraft crashed into a school building in Dhaka. Several others were injured in the incident.
The crash occurred this afternoon. Both military and fire service officials confirmed the incident. Students were present inside the school at the time of the crash. Visuals have emerged showing flames and smoke billowing from the school building.
The Bangladesh Army’s Public Relations Office confirmed in a statement that the crashed aircraft was an F-7 BGI jet belonging to the Air Force. No further details have been released. It remains unclear whether the deceased was a school student or someone aboard the aircraft.
