Actor Ajith Kumar’s car crashes during racing, star pulls out of contest; video out

ROME: Actor Ajith Kumar’s car met with an accident during the GT4 European Series held at the Misano World Circuit in Italy. The incident occurred while he was participating in the second round of the championship. Reports confirm that the actor did not suffer any injuries.

However, following the accident, Ajith had to withdraw from the race. His car collided with another vehicle that had been parked on the track. A video has surfaced showing Ajith helping track staff clear the debris from the race track after the incident. The GT4 European Series shared the footage on their official X page.

“Ajith Kumar exited the car and withdrew from the race. This is his first major crash of the year. He is a true champion. He is seen helping the crew clean the debris off the track — not something many drivers would do,” said the commentator in the video.

Out of the race with damage, but still happy to help with the clean-up.

Ajith entered the racing scene in 2003 and has made notable progress in the field ever since. He also participated in the Formula 2 Championship in 2010 and has raced in countries, including Germany and Malaysia. The Indian government recently honoured him with the Padma Bhushan in recognition of his contributions to cinema.
