Decision to resign from AMMA proved right, Vijay Babu’s participation in meeting sends wrong message, says Hareesh Peradi

KOCHI: “My resignation from the Association of Malayalam Movie Artists (AMMA) has proved to be right”, said actor Hareesh Peradi. Vijay Babu’s participation in the meeting has sent a wrong message, he said while talking to the media.

“It is not right to say that the organization is a club. Ganeshettan (K B Ganesh Kumar) has already responded to it. It is because of such stances taken by them that I resigned from the organization. On seeing these meetings, I feel that my decision was very accurate. It sends a big message to the progressive society”, said Peradi.

“AMMA is not a club. I am concerned about whether bars and gambling centres have been set up there, as seen in regular clubs. As far as I know, AMMA is a charitable organization. That is how it was registered. If that has been changed under any circumstance, then Mohanlal and Edavela Babu should clarify it. The statement had hurt me a lot”, Ganesh Kumar said, last day.
