KOTTAYAM: The Congress has expressed deep dissatisfaction in connection with the resignation of district UDF chairman Saji Manjakadambil. The Congress also criticized Joseph Group for worsening the problem which could have been solved amicably. The Congress also assessed that Saji's resignation caused confusion among the activists. The Congress have conveyed their dissatisfaction to P J Joseph.
The Joseph Group have hinted that efforts have been made to resolve the issue. The Congress is of the stand that the problem can be solved without affecting the front's chances of success. Saji Manjakadambil alleged that he was neglected and ignored. Differences of opinion with Mons Joseph ended in Saji's resignation. Saji is also the senior leader of Joseph Group in Kottayam. Saji said that he is ending his public work soon after the resignation.
Saji Manjakadambil wanted to contest in Kottayam and he had said this publicly. P J Joseph later intervened and pacified him saying that he would be considered in the assembly elections. He then started cooperating in election activities. He later felt insulted on being neglected and ignored.
