Dhanush's mother lodges complaint against Sarathkumar

CHENNAI: Vijayalakshmi, the mother of renowned Tamil actor Dhanush, has approached the Madras High Court against actor and political leader Sarathkumar. Vijayalakshmi is living with her husband in an apartment on Rajamannar Street in Thyagaraja Nagar, Chennai. In her complaint, Vijayalakshmi alleged that Sarathkumar was illegally occupying the upper floor of the building common to all apartment residents and using it commercially.

Vijayalakshmi and some of her neighbours had earlier approached the Chennai Corporation officials regarding this matter. However, the Corporation did not take any action in the matter. This prompted Vijayalakshmi to approach the High Court against Sarathkumar.

The court, which considered the matter on Wednesday, has asked Sarathkumar and Chennai Corporation to submit their answers to the complaint filed by Vijayalakshmi.

Both Dhanush and Sarathkumar have not yet acted together in any film. However, Dhanush has acted with Sarathkumar's wife Radhika in the film 'Thangamakan'.
