'Mammootty has grudge towards me, it has been over 20 years since we acted together'

Actor and Minister K.B. Ganesh Kumar recently opened up about the fact that it has been over 20 years since he acted alongside Mammootty. He mentioned that Mammootty is his role model as an actor and that he is a huge fan of him. Speaking in an interview with a news channel, Ganesh said that he maintains a good friendship with Mohanlal and Siddique in the Malayalam film industry.

"I have a good relationship with Mammootty. I am a huge fan of him, but he doesn't seem to like me that much. I don't know why. As an actor, I always saw Mammootty as a role model. However, he maintains a certain distance from me. I don't have any problem with that. We have acted together in many films, and it has been more than 20 years since we last acted together. The last film we worked together was The King. It’s because he doesn’t like me that we haven't acted together recently," Ganesh Kumar said.

"I’ve never spoken to him about this, nor have I ever asked anyone for roles or opportunities in the film industry. It’s by God’s grace that I get opportunities to act in films. As stated in the Holy Quran, just like your name is written on the grain you must eat, I have acted in the films I was meant to act in. I truly believe in this and find contentment in it," Ganesh Kumar said.

The actor also mentioned that while they may not have a close relationship, he occasionally speaks with Mammootty during AMMA events. "I hold no ill feelings toward him. From the very beginning, when I first met him at the age of 36, I’ve always treated him with respect and affection. Even now, Mammootty seems to hold some sort of grudge against me. In the industry, I regularly talk to Mohanlal, Edavela Babu, and Siddique, and sometimes to Jayaram. I often meet Mukesh in person and enjoy his jokes," Ganesh Kumar said.
