Tamil film 'Koozhangal' is India's entry for Oscars 2022

Tamil film 'Koozhangal' has been selected as the official Indian entry in the Best International Feature Film category at the upcoming 94th Academy Awards, 2022. The movie, directed by P.S. Vinothraj, is produced by Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan under the banner of Rowdy Pictures.

It was producer Vignesh Shivan who shared the news through his social media page. 'Koozhangal' had won the prestigious Tiger Award at the 50th International Film Festival of Rotterdam this year.

14 films, including the Malayalam film 'Nayattu', were shortlisted for India's entry to Oscars 2022. The 15-member selection committee chaired by Shaji N Karun selected 'Koozhangal' after watching and evaluating the films.
