SRINAGAR: The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) has dismissed a jawan for concealing his marriage to a Pakistani woman. Munir Ahmed, a constable of the 41st Battalion and a native of Jammu, has been dismissed. The jawan's actions were found to be against the code of conduct of the force and detrimental to national security.

The jawan's wife had approached the Jammu and Kashmir High Court seeking to prevent her from being sent back to Pakistan. The court issued an interim order in this regard, allowing the jawan's wife to remain in India temporarily. It was only after the matter reached the court that the information about the marriage of the jawan with the Pakistani woman came to light. The jawan was dismissed from the force after this.
