Bollywood actress and BJP MP Kangana Ranaut has once again sparked controversy with a statement — this time over gender equality. Her remark, which opposes the idea of gender equality, has ignited debate. In an interview with Times Now, Kangana stated that "a woman and a man can never be equal." She has been involved in controversies before for making similar remarks.
“By saying that everyone is equal, we are building a world of fools. I believe everyone is unequal and unique when their different experiences and abilities are considered. In terms of art, you are not equal to me. I’m not equal to my mother. Even with four National Awards, I cannot be equal to Ambani ji,” she said.
“When I sit next to a labourer, I think that this person has so much more tolerance than me. A child is not equal to a woman. A woman is not equal to a man. A man is not equal to an elderly person in the family. We all play different roles, so we are all different. Those who try to see everyone as the same are creating a world of fools. These people pretend to be knowledgeable. They have no respect even for a boss who has 25 years of experience in the same field. And the result is a generation of idiots who neither want to work harder nor seek growth,” Kangana added.
