Kerala tableau selected for this year’s Republic Day parade

NEW DELHI: Kerala’s tableau has been selected for presentation at this year’s Republic Day parade. The tableau design submitted by the state, highlighting 100 per cent digital literacy and the Kochi Water Metro, has received approval from the Union Ministry of Defence. The Ministry had instructed states to design their tableaus on either of the themes 'Swatantrata Ka Mantra- Vande Mataram' or 'Samriddhi Ka Mantra - Atmanirbhar Bharat.' Kerala chose the theme 'Samriddhi Ka Mantra - Atmanirbhar Bharat' and will showcase the Kochi Water Metro and the achievement of 100 per cent digital literacy under the concept 'Atmanirbhar Kerala for Atmanirbhar Bharat.'

Kerala’s tableau was selected after a five-stage screening process. Apart from Kerala, states including Assam, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Manipur, Nagaland, Odisha, Punjab, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh, and West Bengal will also present tableaus. Union Territories Puducherry and Jammu and Kashmir, along with various central ministries, will also take part in the parade with their floats.
